ON-SITE AND NEARBY ACTIVITIES

We offer a variety of activities at the hotel, or you may use our location as a base camp for nearby sojourns.  Whether you wish to use your leisure time focused on fitness activities or prefer to unwind at our swimming pool, several options are available to you at the hotel and within biking or walking distance.

Fitness Center

Open 24 hours a day, our state-of-the-art fitness center features a wide variety of cardio and resistance machines, free weights and a stretching room. The majority of our fitness equipment has built-in televisions. The fitness room has vaulted ceilings and period photography of Stanford University athletic programs dating from the turn of the twentieth century.

Bike Program

Our "borrow-a-bicycle" program allows our guests to explore the local area in style on high quality retro style bikes. The men's and women's styled bicycles are equipped with multiple speeds, basket, bell and cargo carrier. Our bikes are named after some notable alumni from Stanford University, including Condoleezza Rice, Sally Ride, Jim Plunkett and Herbert Hoover.

Pool, Whirlpool, and Sauna

The swimming pool and adjacent whirlpool spa is heated year round, and is open from 7 am to 10 pm daily. Set in a serene garden with lounge chairs, and fountains, guests come here to start and end their day with tranquility.  Our dry sauna is adjacent to the pool area.

Running Trails

Our location offers runners easy access to wonderful sites and trails which are well suited for a quick jog or a more extensive run. Our favorite option is the Stanford Dish loop, which is a challenging workout with hills and excellent views of the Stanford campus, Palo Alto and the San Francisco Bay.  We are happy to provide directions and tips for easy, medium and challenging routes.
